Shalom Klein serves in a community outreach capacity for Mac Strategies Group. His focus is on building and growing coalition activity with a focus on the Chicagoland community.
Shalom is the Vice President of Moshe Klein & Associates Ltd. in Skokie, the Founder of Jewish B2B Networking, Vice President at MK&A, Ltd. and Executive Director of the Jewish Community Council of West Rogers Park (Chicago). Shalom’s passion is for entrepreneurialism and business, and while maintaining a strong connection to the Jewish community, his work at Jewish B2B Networking connects the unemployed and underemployed to businesses in need of specific skills. Part of the organization's focus is on improving equality for women in the workplace. Founded in 2010, more than 15,000 individuals have now participated in the program.
Klein has been a guest in the Obama White House several times, and has participated at the White House Community Leaders Briefing Series, an opportunity to meet with other community leaders from across the US to discuss the direction of community leadership in America. Klein is also the former chair of the Skokie Economic Development Commission and the city's Dempster Street Merchants Association. In 2012 he was named one of Oy Chicago’s 36 under 36, and later he was the recipient of the Jewish Federations of North America Jewish Heroes Award.
In addition to activities in both the business world and community outreach, Shalom also hosts the weekly radio show "Get Down To Business with Shalom Klein" on WIND AM-560 in Chicago. The program showcases Klein as a big believer in well-executed networking and high visibility, which he feels leads to valued relationships and opportunities in the business world.
Shalom graduated from the Certificate in Jewish Leadership program from Northwestern University. He received a Master of Arts degree in Jewish Professional Studies with a concentration in non-profit management at the Spertus Institute for Jewish Learning and Leadership and is currently completing his doctorate in educational leadership.
